About
Friends of the Lewis County Public Library is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides support for the Lewis County Public Library and Archives. Friends of the Library focuses on community development through library development, and our members are involved in fund-raising activities, advocacy, volunteerism, public awareness campaigns, and literacy programs.
Awards
- Friends Group of the Year (2023) / Friends of Tennesse Libraries and the Tennessee Library Association
- National Friends of Libraries Week Award (2022) / United for Libraries, a division of the American Library Association
Meetings
The group meets on the fourth Monday of every month at 4:30 p.m. inside the historic Hohenwald Depot. All meetings are open to the public.
Book Sales
A monthly book sale is held on the last Saturday of the month at the Friends Booktique located in the historic Hohenwald Depot. Book sales run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Membership

Pick up a paper membership form at the library and archives or the Friends’ Booktique. Return your completed applications to the library and archives in person or by mail.
